AALBORG UNIVERSITET - AAU
 
Role in the project:
Aalborg University will be the project coordinator of the consortium with Professor Jesper De Claville Christiansen as coordinator. Furthermore, AAU contributes with the Materials Science and Engineering group in the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering and its group on structural mechanics. AAU is leader of WP2 and 10.
     

  PININFARINA SPA – PIN
 
Role in the project:
PIN provides full-service product design services to industry-leading companies, such as Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Fiat, Honda and Peugeot-Citroen Group, among others. To mark the celebrations of its 80th anniversary and testify PIN’s commitment on sustainable mobility, the “NIDO Electric vehicle (Nido EV) was presented in May 2010. NIDO EV is a supplementary outcome of the pioneering, far-sighted decision taken by PIN to focus on sustainable mobility, and it forms the basis of the work in the Evolution project. PIN is the industrial coordinator of Evolution and is also leader of WP1 and 9.
     


  FUNDACION TECNALIA RESEARCH & INNOVATION – TECNALIA
 
Role in the project:
Tecnalia Research & Innovation has been born out of the merger between Cidemco, ESI, Euve, Fatronik, Inasmet, Labein, Leia and Robotiker, thus creating the largest private Research, Development and Innovation (R+D+i) group in Spain and one of the leading ones in Europe, with a staff of over 1,400 people and a turnover of 125 million euros.
The keys turning the vision of Tecnalia Research & Innovation into reality are marked by the following: its private nature; the focussing of its activity on Applied Research; the fact that it is a centre of international excellence (international R+D contracts, foreign researchers, and international accompaniment of local industries, licences, IP, etc.); the impact it has on local industry (R+D and Innovation projects with companies, spin offs, training, E+C services); its openness; and the fact that it has become a centre that attracts people who want to develop their creativity, and organisations (networks) keen to interact and co-generate knowledge with Tecnalia.

TEC is leader of WP 5.
     

  INSTITUTUL NATIONAL DE CERCETARE DEZVOLTARE PENTRU CHIMIE SI PETROCHIMIE – ICECHIM
 
Role in the project:
ICECHIM was founded in 1951 and became in March 2004 The National Research and Development Institute for Chemistry and Petrochemistry. The institute will participate in the Consortium with its Polymer Department, mainly by involvement of the research team experienced in polymer (nano)composites obtaining, processing, characterization, surface functionalization and modification at micro- and nano- scale. ICECHIM team is involved in WP2 - Task 2.2– Polymer matrix composites; WP5 - Task 5.1 – Polymers and composites and WP8 - Task 8.2– Dissemination."
     

  ASSOCIATION POUR LA RECHERCHE ET LE DEVELOPPEMENT DES METHODES ET PROCESSUS INDUSTRIELS – ARMINES
 
Role in the project:
ARMINES is a non-for-profit research organisation founded in 1967. Armines will be involved in the preparation of the new materials by compounding (improvement of dispersion, properties), in the optimization of the process to reduce energy consumption (choice of adequate screw profile and processing conditions) and on the scale-up procedure between laboratory and industrial systems.
     
  TEKNOLOGISK INSTITUT – DTI
 
Role in the project:
Teknologisk Institut (Danish Technological Institute, DTI) is Denmark’s largest non-profit supplier of technological services to industry and society. DTI will lead WP8 on activities for the dissemination of the project developments to all interested stakeholders and decision makers. DTI’s RTD activities are mainly in WP 2, 4 and 5.
     
  LATVIJAS VALSTS KOKSNES KIMIJAS INSTITUTS – IWC

Role in the project: 
IWC was founded in 1946 as a State R&D Institute providing research and testing in the field of wood
and wood component chemistry and technology, polymer chemistry and biotechnology. IWC’s main activities in the project are in WP 2, 5 and 8.
     

  UNIVERSIDAD DE VALLADOLID – UVA
 
Role in the project:
The Cellular Materials Laboratory (CellMat) of the University of Valladolid was established in 1998. This research team is integrated in the Condensed Matter Physics Department of the University of Valladolid (Spain). The role of CellMat is the development of production technologies, materials and foam structures and UVA is mainly involved in WP 3 and 5.
     
  TECHNISCHE UNIVERSITAT BERLIN – TU
 
Role in the project:
The Metal Foam Group is hosted at the Technical University of Berlin, jointly with the Helmholtz Centre Berlin, and has a worldwide recognised reputation in this field. TUBs activities in EVolution will focus on extending knowledge on the formation of metals foams and the development of improved aluminium foams for automotive structures. TUB is mainly involved in WP 3 and 5.
     
  UNIVERSITA DI PISA – UNIPI
 
Role in the project:
University of Pisa is a public University devoted to university education and scientific and technological research. UNIPI will take part in WP 2, 5 and 8.
     
  UNIVERSITY OF PATRAS - LTSM-UP
 
Role in the project:
The Department of Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics of University of Patras, which is a public higher education establishment is one of the premier University faculties in Greece. The primary role of LTSM in EVolution will be in the design of hybrid structures in WP6 – Proof of Concept Prototyping, focusing on impact and crashworthiness issues for the six demonstrator components in WP6.
     
  CENTRO RICERCHE FIAT SCPA  - CRF
 
Role in the project:
Centro Ricerche FIAT (CRF) is an industrial research organisation providing R&D and innovation services for the different companies of the FIAT Group and its automotive suppliers. CRF will actively contribute to the definition of a novel concept of Body In White. CRF is involved in WP 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7 and is WP leader of WP4.
     
  EURO MASTER SRL – EUMA
 
Role in the project:
Euro Master Srl (EUMA) is located in Montemurlo close to Prato, Italy and operates on production of plastics to be commercialised both on domestic and export markets. EUMA will be involved in the activity related to the development of advanced composites (WP2) and up scaling of the technologies (WP5) for commercial mass production.
     
  THE UNIVERSITY OF SHEFFIELD – USFD
 
Role in the project:
The University of Sheffield’s Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre with Boeing (USFD) is widely  regarded by UK manufacturers as the most successful industrially focused research organisation to have merged in recent years. USFD is mainly involved in WP1, 6 and 7.
     
  CENTRE DE RECHERCHE EN AERONAUTIQUE ASBL – CENAERO
 
Role in the project:
The Centre de recherche en aéronautique asbl (CEN) is an applied research centre with focus on the development of advanced multidisciplinary simulation technologies for Aeronautics and, more generally, the transportation industry. CEN is mainly involved in WP1.
     
  RITOLS – RIT
 
Role in the project:
RIT is an SME specialized in introducing of polymer materials in construction industry, starting from synthesis of polyols for PU rigid foams and lacquers, and the step is practical application of these materials in new building construction and renovation. RIT is mainly involved in WP2 and 8.
     
  ABN PIPE SYSTEMS SL – ABN
 
Role in the project:
ABN Pipe systems is divided into three divisions: Division of Compound Materials (COMPOUND), The Division of Pipe Systems and The Division of New Developments. ABN is primarily involved in WP 2 and 5.
     
  FUNDACION CIDAUT – CIDAUT
 
Role in the project:
CIDAUT Foundation (Research and Development Centre in Transport & Energy), is a non-profit private research centre, performing R&D for companies in the transport, aeronautics and energy sectors. CIDAUT is involved in WP 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 and is WP leader of WP 3 and 6.
     
  POHLTEC METALFOAM GMBH – MET
 
Role in the project:
The pohltec metalfoam GmbH is hosted in Cologne and is the worldwide largest producer of Aluminium Foam Sandwich (AFS) panels. It is specialized in the development of lightweight structures and materials, as well as new manufacturing techniques. MET is primarily involved in WP 3, 5 and 8.
     
  Dow Europe GmbH – DOW
 
Role in the project:
Dow Automotive Europe is a part of Dow Europe and develops and manufactures epoxy based structural adhesives, as well as polyurethane elastic adhesives for applications in Automotive. DOW is mainly involved in WP4 and 5.
 
  INNOVAZIONE AUTOMOTIVE E METALMECCANICA SCRL – IAM
 
Role in the project:
IAM is a non-profit making consortium aimed at strengthening the local industry  and creating an international network among local companies and with the best players in automotive industry and innovation. IAM will lead the WP7 and is furthermore involved in WP 6 and 8.
     
  KGR SPA – KGR
 
Role in the project:
KGR S.p.A., founded in 1979, has been operating for years in the field of automation for the automotive industry, with supply of equipment/lines for the body in white assembly. KGR will primarily be involved in WP 4, 5 and 8.
     
  FPK LIGHTWEIGHT TECHNOLOGIES S.COOP. - FPK LT 
 
Role in the project:
FPK is a Spanish company which supplies structural and functional parts for the car industry. It focuses especially on product functions (multi-technologies). FPK will mainly participate in WP6 and WP7, but will be also involved in WP5 and WP8.
     

  Dantec Dynamics GmbH – DANTEC
 
Role in the project:
Dantec Dynamics GmbH is a leading manufacturer of professional full field optical deformation and vibration measuring systems. DANTEC will use the optical measurement technique DIC to determine the deformation and strain field of the joints and components investigated. DANTEC is primarily involved in WP 4, 5 and 7.
